Glazing

The final firing process of the glazing is an essential step in creating a beautiful and durable ceramic piece.

After the bisque firing, the glazing process adds a protective finish to the piece.

We use clear glaze for high temperature firing, the firing temperature, typically around 1200°C, vitrifies the clay and fuses the glaze to the surface, resulting in a shiny and durable finish.

The piece will shrink around 16% from its original size during this process.

Once the final firing is complete, the ceramic piece is left to cool before being removed from the kiln, and the finished result is truly a work of art.
