Hi, I’m Jun, the owner & maker behind Oraclay.
I started working with clay before I even graduated from university, and somehow it quietly became my life’s work. More than 14 years later, I’m still here, shaping, painting, and wondering what tiny character will come to life next.
These days, I’m also a mom to a little boy who is almost two years old. Watching him discover the world has changed the way I create. Everyday moments, little animals, children’s books, bread on the breakfast table, flowers on a walk, small things have become the biggest source of inspiration.
Oraclay was born from the idea that even a simple ceramic piece can brighten someone’s day.
The name Oraclay combines “Ora”, inspired by the first part of my real name, which means “to shine” in Japanese, and “Clay,” the material I have loved since the beginning of my journey.
Together, they represent earth that quietly shines with its own aura.
Every piece is designed to bring a little happiness into everyday life through playful shapes, gentle colors, and stories that live somewhere between imagination and function.
Some of my creations don’t look like ordinary tableware at first glance—and I like it that way. I hope each piece feels like discovering a tiny friend that just happens to hold your tea, your dessert, or your favorite little treasures.
Everything is handcrafted in my small studio in Bangkok, with lots of time, care, and heart.
Welcome to my tiny clay world. 🌷
